East-Race-Waterway-Rafting-RGBEast Race Waterway – Downtown South Bend is home to the first man-made white water rafting course in North America. The East Race Waterway is open on Saturday and Sunday afternoons June through August, and is the perfect activity for adventure-seekers.

Community Foundation Performing Arts Series – This FREE summer concert series offers a great chance to enjoy a relaxing evening at Chris Wilson Pavilion in Potawatomi Park. Patrons are invited to bring blankets, chairs, snacks and drinks, and to kick back and enjoy the show.

Art Beat – This annual art event has become a summer tradition. Every type of art imaginable – from culinary, to handmade jewelry, to paintings and sculptures – is on display in downtown South Bend for one afternoon.

Potawatomi Zoo – Home to more than 400 animals, Potawatomi Zoo boasts many rare and endangered species. Enjoy 23 acres of beautifully landscaped Zoo grounds, take a ride on the Potawatomi Zoo Train, and don’t forget to visit the full-service concession stand and gift shop.
