Calling all foodies: The Bend would like your attention.
Downtown South Bend’s Summer Restaurant Weeks has returned, offering a savory taste of the local culinary scene from July 9-22. Eighteen restaurants are participating with special menus priced at $11, $22 and $33 for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
That means Restaurant Weeks has variety on offer. Pop into Peggs, one of The Bend’s best breakfast spots, for the red velvet French Toast. Taste the Clements spicy shrimp tacos at Tippecanoe Place for lunch. Treat yourself to fine dining at LaSalle Grill, where you can order the hardwood grilled top sirloin.
No matter your preference — sushi at Woochi Japanese Fusion & Bar, anyone? — the downtown South Bend dining scene has a little something for you.
And if all that’s not enough, approximately 10 percent of all sales from Summer Restaurant Weeks will be donated to Beacon Children’s Hospital. Start mapping out your meals now!
