List of Postponed/Canceled Events Related to COVID-19

Many area events have been postponed or canceled in response to COVID-19 (novel coronavirus). Several area businesses have closed as well. Indiana governor Eric Holcomb on March 23 ordered all non-essential businesses closed and issued a stay-at-home order effective until April 20. It could be extended as circumstances warrant.

Below is a working list of those cancellations, postponements and closures:

Attraction, Business and Venue Closures

Century Center: Canceled all events indefinitely.

DeBartolo Performing Arts Center at the University of Notre Dame: Canceled all events and performances through April 12.

The History Museum: Closed to the public.

Indiana University South Bend: Canceled all public events indefinitely..

Newton Park (Lakeville): Closed all fields and playgrounds until further notice.

Potawatomi Zoo: Canceled classes and birthday parties, pushed back opening day.

Snite Museum of Art: Closed indefinitely starting March 16. All programs canceled.

South Bend Museum of Art: Closed indefinitely.

South Bend Cubs: Postponed Opening Day indefinitely. It was originally scheduled for April 9.

South Bend Venues Parks and Arts: O’Brien Fitness Center, Martin Luther King Jr. Center, Charlese Black Center, Rum Village Nature Center and the Howard Park Event Center closed indefinitely starting March 17.

Studebaker National Museum: Closed to the public until further notice.

University Park Mall: Closed starting at 7 p.m. March 18.
