South Bend Civic Theatre provides fans of plays and musicals an opportunity to see some of their favorites without the hassle of expensive ticket prices.
Since opening in 1957, South Bend Civic Theatre has always been committed to bringing theater to South Bend.
What began as an idea of a few University of Notre Dame graduates has now become a hallmark of downtown South Bend. You will be singing along to toe-tapping musical numbers and on the edge of your seat for historical dramas. These performances will invoke all sorts of emotions, from hilarious comedies to heart-wrenching tragedies.
Make your way to the beautiful, 200-seat Wilson Theatre for larger productions, including musicals, where the actors have the entire stage to sing, act, and dance. If you are going to a smaller scale show, you will go to the Warner Theatre where the intimate venue will make audience members feel they are in the performance themselves.
Every cast member is highly talented and goes through an audition process to make sure the best actors and actresses get chosen for each show. South Bend Civic Theatre also wants to tell the whole story of South Bend on stage and they do that by having as diverse a cast on stage as the community is around The Bend.
Oh, did we mention the shows are affordable too? Shows on Broadway and other large performing arts centers will make you pay hundreds of dollars for just one ticket to the show. At South Bend Civic Theatre, they believe in making ticket prices reasonable so the entire family can enjoy the performance
With reasonable ticket prices and exceptional performances from community actors, now is the time to see a show at South Bend Civic Theatre.
