When it comes to St. Patrick’s Day, nowhere in Northern Indiana does it quite like The Bend.
Downtown South Bend throws one of the biggest parties in the region with its Paddy Party and pub tour. Festivities then carry on the next day as visitors line the streets for the parade.

March 13 | DTSB Paddy Party and Pub Tour
Ready for the region’s largest St. Patrick’s Day party? This event has long been a staple of downtown South Bend and the 2020 edition promises to be even better. DTSB is partnering with the South Bend Cubs to put the event on at Four Winds Field. That means upgraded food options, more bands and more VIP areas.
Tickets to the Paddy Party also include admission to the DTSB Pub Tour, with free shuttle service and no cover charge to 20 downtown pubs. It will be one of the most festive nights in The Bend this year.
March 14 | St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Celebrate Irish heritage in The Bend at the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which steps off at 11 a.m. on East Jefferson Boulevard in the East Bank. You’ll be able to find the parade route easy enough. Just follow the sound of bagpipes in the air.

March 14 | Greening of the East Race
Immediately following the parade, the East Race Waterway turns green to celebrate the occasion. People will line the race for a look at the river as it turns green before their eyes.
