Instead you can visit The Bend, where Broadway Theatre League turns the Morris Performing Arts Center into a showcase for national touring productions like Phantom of the Opera and The Sound of Music. Broadway Theatre League’s 2019-2020 schedule is headlined by a three-week stay for Disney’s THE LION KING! Check out the rest of the schedule below.

Beautiful – The Carole King Musical | Oct. 25-27, 2019 

This musical tells the true story of King’s rise to stardom. King went from part of a hit songwriting team with her husband to becoming one of the most successful solo acts in music history. The musical features many of her hit songs, including “I Feel the Earth Move” and “One Fine Day.”

Jersey Boys | Jan. 12, 2020 

They were just for guys from Jersey, until they sang their very first note. Take a closer look at the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons in this Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon.

Bandstand | Jan. 24-26, 2020 

A new musical, Bandstand takes the stage with a reputation as for high-octane dancing. It’s set in 1945 as American soldiers are coming home from World War II to parades and happy families. A veteran signs up for a national competition to find the country’s next great musical stars. The story carries on from there!

Disney’s The Lion King | March 4-22, 2020 

The entire Serengeti will come to life on stage as this smash hit makes its long-awaited debut at the Morris Performing Arts Center with a three-week stay. More than 95 million people around the world have experienced this beautiful performance. Disney’s The Lion King is winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Waitress | April 24-26, 2020 

Waitress, a new musical from an all-female creative team, features new music by 6-time Grammy Award nominee Sara Bareilles. It tells the story of Jenna, a waitress and expert pie maker dreaming her way out of a small town and loveless marriage.
