The Indiana Office of Tourism Development (IOTD) was created under I.C. 5-29-2 and operates under the leadership of Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann. IOTD is committed to being a thriving agency and has historically served as a consumer-marketing unit for Indiana funded through a state budget appropriation and earned revenue from cooperative advertising and promotional programs. It has adopted an ambitious vision for 2013 and beyond that will position Indiana tourism as an economic development driver for the state.

To provide superior value and effective communication for our members by being the voice of the Hotel/Motel industry in government and public relations, providing programs offering operational benefits and creating opportunities for member involvement. Visit South Bend Mishawaka holds a Tourism Awards Reception each spring, during which we honor professionals and organizations that have had a positive impact on tourism in St. Joseph County. 2019 TOURISM MARKETING & HOSTING GRANT
Visit South Bend Mishawaka (VSBM), with the assistance of the St. Joseph County Hotel-Motel Tax Board, has allocated $125,000 in funding for the marketing and hosting of events or exhibiting positive tourism potential to the St. Joseph County area. These funds are to assist qualified organizations with the promotion of tourism activities striving to directly increase hotel/motel occupancy and create positive image building publicity for St. Joseph County.

2019 St. Joseph County Tourism Capital Development Fund
The Hotel-Motel Tax Board of St. Joseph County (SJC) is continuing a Tourism Capital Development Fund (TCDF) as an initiative for 2019. The fund is intended to benefit the advancement of SJC as a destination for the next generation of visitors by investing in quality of place initiatives that will make SJC a more appealing place to enjoy.
