South Bend Among Most Affordable Cities in United States

In a recent study by, three Indiana cities were listed in the top 10 for lowest cost of living in the United States and South Bend was one of them coming in at No. 3.

This list was based on metrics from the U.S. Census Bureau and the Bureau of Labor Statistics that included home value, property taxes, rent and gas prices. Because of South Bend’s affordability, more and more people have moved to the area to call this place home. The other Indiana cities in the top 10 are Fort Wayne (No. 1) and Evansville (No. 2).
